Tigers Stumble in Second Round of GSC Men’s Tournament

PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – A grueling second round for the West Alabama Tigers has the team sitting in 12th place after two rounds of the 2018 Gulf South Conference Men's Championship Tournament at the Mountain View Course at Callaway Gardens.
 
UWA (320-319) is now 63-over on 639 shots as a team on the Par 72 course. Valdosta State (302-285) used a solid second round to move into first place at an 11-over 587. Yesterday's leader, Delta State (292-297), sits in second place just two shots behind the leading Blazers.
 
Brannon "Boo" O'Pry (75-76) fell to a tie for 16th and is seven-over on the tournament on 151 strokes. Alec Riley (79-77) is tied for 28th and with 156 shots is 12-over in two days. Korlan Trull (82-81) is 19-over after two rounds, Andrew Cronwright (84-87) is at 27-over and Mark Johnson (87-85) is 28-over after through the second round.
 
VSU's Davis Roche (72-66) has moved from third to first and sits six-under for the tournament while DSU's George Kawell (69-78) fell from the top to ninth and sits at three-over.
 
The GSC Men's Golf Championship Tournament concludes tomorrow with the first Tiger teeing off at 8 a.m.
