Dent Earns Second Straight GSC Freshman of the Week

BIRMINGHAM– For the second consecutive week West Alabama's women's basketball player Bria Dent has earned Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Week.

A true freshman from Minor (Ala.) High School, Dent averaged 13.0 points and 12.5 rebounds in two games for West Alabama last week. She has put together double-doubles in each of the Tigers' last four games.

Averaging 15.3 points and 12.3 rebounds over the last four games, Dent's 13 rebounds and four assists at Lee last Saturday were both career and season highs.

Dent and the Tigers (7-10, 4-6) are host to West Florida (13-4, 7-3) Thursday at Pruitt Hall Gym. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
