Tigers Land in National Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Thanks to a nine-game unbeaten streak, the University of West Alabama Women's Soccer team has moved into the #24 spot in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll.
 
UWA is 10-3-1 overall and 8-1-1 in the Gulf South Conference and are in the national poll for the first time after receiving votes in Week 2 and Week 7. 
 
The Tigers are coming off another successful 2-0 weekend after defeating Christian Brothers, 1-0, and Union University, 4-1. With the wins, West Alabama clinched a spot in the GSC Women's Soccer Championship Tournament.
 
University of Colorado-Colorado Springs tops the poll with a 15-0-0 record. Mississippi College is the fifth ranked team and the highest ranked conference team with a 11-1-0 record.
 
MC and UWA, at first and third respectively, are also the highest ranked league team in the South Region poll with Rollins College between the two squads at #2. 
 
West Alabama's upcoming opponent, Lee, received votes in the national poll and is fourth in the south region rankings.
