#16 Men's Rodeo

Tiger Wranglers Start Spring Competition

MERIDIAN, Miss. – The University of West Alabama rodeo team opens the spring portion of its schedule today at the 8th Annual East Mississippi Community College Intercollegiate Rodeo at the Lauderdale County Agri-Center. The event runs through Saturday.
 
Tickets are $10 at the door. Children 5-years-old or younger are admitted free. Doors open at 7 p.m. on each of the three nights.

Including the Tiger Wranglers, rodeo teams from 10 colleges and universities in the Ozark Region will compete in the event, the next step toward the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming June 14-20.
West Alabama is third on the men's side and sixth in the women's Ozark Region standings as the spring season gets underway.
 
Tiger Wrangler Ryder Ladner is currently in first place in the men's all-around competition with 1,115.00 points, comfortably ahead of Tennessee-Martin's Coleman Dell, who has 460.00 points. Dustin Herman is third in bull riding, while Ladner is third in tie down roping and second in steer wrestling.
 
Ladner is the top team roping header in the Ozark Region and Chase Graves is the top heeler. Scott Davis is currently fourth in saddle bronc riding.
