Justyna Butler Signs with UWA Women’s Basketball

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of West Alabama Women's Basketball team has added some depth to the backcourt as Justyna Butler has signed her national letter of intent to continue her career with the Tigers.
 
A native of Bloomington, Minnesota, Butler will be a junior transfer from North Dakota State College of Science after spending two seasons with the Wildcats.
 
The 5-foot-8 combo guard averaged 7.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists during her sophomore season at NDSCS. She posted back to back 15-point efforts including 15 points, nine assists, four assists and four rebounds in a win over Sheridan College on Nov. 29, 2019.
 
Butler went for 13 points, five assists and four rebounds to help NDSCS capture the National Junior College Athletic Association Region XIII Tournament Championship and scored 10 points as the Wildcats won the North Central District Tournament on March 7. 
 
The incoming junior will major in sociology.
