RHP Germak Signs With UWA Baseball

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – Right-handed pitcher Scott Germak has signed a National Letter of Intent to play his college baseball at the University of West Alabama.
 
At 6-foot-2 and 240 pounds, Germak comes to UWA from Lakewood High School in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he also played first base.
 
In a senior season shortened by the global Covid-19 pandemic, Germak played in 11 games, recording a 2-3 pitching record with a sterling 0.60 earned run average over 23.1 innings pitched. He struck out 26 and walked seven. At the plate he drove in five runs with two doubles and a home run. He recorded a .472 on base percentage, which was aided by drawing 11 bases on balls.
 
As a junior pitcher Germak put together an 8-3 record with a 1.73 ERA. Over 64.2 innings pitched he struck out 93 and walked 28. He had a .343 batting average with nine doubles, a triple, 12 RBI and 11 stolen bases in 29 games.
