De la Garza and Franco Accept Invite to ITA Cup

TEMPE, Ariz. – Katia de la Garza and Haina Franco have accepted an invitation to compete in the ITA Cup Thursday, Oct. 14th through Sunday, Oct. 17th at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Ga.

"This is a great event and opportunity not only to compete for a DII doubles national championship, but earn a spot in the draw in the 2021 ITA Fall Championship later this fall," head tennis coach Jeff Beaman said.

De la Garza and Franco had a successful weekend at the ITA Fall Regionals, September 24^th through September 26^th and were able to advance to the semifinals of the doubles tournament.

The ITA Cup is formerly known as the Small College Nationals, it is the only singles and doubles national championship event for Division II and NAIA levels.

The winners of the doubles and singles tournament will be able to earn a spot in the 2021 ITA National Fall Championships, which will take place November 4^ththrough 7^th at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif.
