Irawan "Ming" Deewajee Signs With Women's Tennis

LIVINGSTON, Ala – Irawan "Ming" Deewajee has officially signed a scholarship to compete on the West Alabama Women's Tennis team. 
 
Deewajee is a transfer student from Kasetsart University in Thailand and was a member of the Thailand National Junior team. She is originally from Chiang Mai, Thailand. 
 
The Thailand native has been rated as high as 9.78 in the Universal Tennis Rating. 
 
"Ming comes to us from a great academic university in her home country with four years of eligibility. She chose UWA over several Division I options and is a great addition to our women's team for this spring, adding even more depth to this very talented roster," head tennis coach Jeff Beaman said. 
 
The Tigers open the regular season at South Alabama on January 29th, 2022.
