LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The West Alabama men's basketball team prepares to host Christian Brother University on Saturday, Jan. 15, inside Pruitt Hall Gymnasium at 4 p.m.
The action can be heard on SLY104.9 with play-by-play from Mark Gilliam, while live stats and the live stream will be available on the UWA athletics website.
West Alabama enters the matchup against CBU 13-3 overall and 6-2 in the GSC. The Tigers are coming off a midweek competition at Auburn-Montgomery, defeating the Warhawks 72-64 in overtime.
Kortrijk Miles leads the Tigers with 20.1 points per game and 8.4 points per game. UWA averages 71.9 points while holding opponents to 58.6.
Christian Brothers are 5-10 on the season and 2-7 in conference play. Bucs traveled to Huntsville on Thursday to fall 82-61 to Alabama Huntsville.
CBU averages 68.4 points per game as a team while allowing 69.1. Freshman forward Daniel Loos leads the effort with 13.5 points per game, while Nick Deifel leads the team with 5.1 rebounds.
John Reilly is the head coach of the Buccaneers and is in his third season. Reilly holds a 19-38 record at CBU and a 493-345 career record over 29 seasons.
There will be no admission charge for the game. Fans are encouraged to social distance and wear a mask.
