LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of West Alabama men's basketball standout Rasean Frederick has been named First Team NABC All-District by coaches within the region.
Frederick earns the first All-District selection of his career after a phenomenal 2026 season, helping lead West Alabama to 27 wins and a GSC Regular Season Championship.
Operating within a balanced offensive system, the forward led the Tigers in scoring with 12.2 points per game while shooting 48 percent from the field, emerging as UWA's primary scoring option. He reached double figures in 21 games, including four performances of 20 or more points.
In addition to his scoring, the redshirt senior ranked second on the team in rebounding with 4.7 boards per game and recorded three double-doubles during the season.
Two of those double-doubles came in consecutive games against Trevecca Nazarene and Delta State. Frederick posted 22 points and 10 rebounds against the Trojans, then followed with 17 points and 10 rebounds against Delta State. Arguably his best performance came on January 22 against West Florida, when he recorded a career-high 23 points along with 11 rebounds for another double-double.
Frederick concludes his career with First Team All-GSC and NABC All-District honors, in addition to a GSC Regular Season Championship.
