Women's Hoops Set to Host Southeastern Baptist College on Wednesday for Home Opener

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - West Alabama women's basketball team is set to host Southeastern Baptist College on Wednesday. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m. inside Pruitt Hall Gymnasium. The Tigers started the season with a 1-1 record at the Puerto Rico Clásico.

This will be the third meeting between West Alabama and Southeastern Baptist College. UWA is leading the series, 2-0. The first meeting was in November 2019, when the Tigers won 85-45. The latest meeting was in November 2021, when UWA defeated the Lady Chargers 72-43.

Three Tigers are averaging double figures after two games. Bria Dent is leading the offense, averaging 19.5 points per game and 16.5 rebounds per game. Jala Williams is averaging 13 points, seven assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game. Maryanne Logsdon is averaging 12 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.

General admission tickets will be $5 at the entrance or can be purchased ahead of time here. Children five and under will be admitted free.
