Women's Tennis Sweeps Shorter in GSC Match

ROME, Ga – The West Alabama Women's tennis team won a Gulf South Conference match 7-0 in Rome, Ga. Tuesday afternoon against Shorter at the Walt Attaway Tennis Complex.

UWA improves to 2-1 overall and 2-0 in GSC play. Shorter drops to 1-2 overall.

"It was good for us to get our second conference win of the season today," head tennis coach Jeff Beaman said.

The Tigers swept doubles and singles to get the win against Shorter.

UWA Women's tennis returns to action on Thursday, February 17 at Alabama State. First serve is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
