Tigers Set to Host West Georgia on Saturday

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - West Alabama softball team is set to host West Georgia in a three-game series starting with a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m., followed by a single game on Sunday at noon at UWA Softball Complex. 

The Tigers head into the series with a 14-13 overall record and are 6-6 in GSC play. The Wolves bring a 11-18 overall record to Livingston and are 4-10 in the conference.

First baseman Kacy Noland leads UWA hitters with a .402 batting average, ranking her sixth in the GSC. Noland has nine doubles, two triples, and three home runs. She is ranked fourth in doubles and 13th in triples in the conference. She is also leading the Tigers with 27 RBIs, ranking her third in the conference. 

Cassie Matlock has a .392 batting average. The senior outfielder has five doubles, two triples, 15 RBIs, and has scored 20 runs. 

LP Trammell is ranked third in the conference and leads the Tigers in runs scored with 25. 

Breanna Fortenberry leads the Tigers pitchers with a 2.70 ERA. She has given up three earned runs on 10 hits, struck out six, and walked two over 10 innings pitched. 

UWG R.J. Janke is leading the Wolves hitters with a .431 batting average, ranking her second in the GSC.
