Tigers Finish Spring 2022 with High Academic Marks

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - West Alabama athletics ended the 2022 spring season not only with a great athletic year but a tremendous academic year with high marks in the classroom. 
 
UWA athletics had a combined 3.00 grade point average as a department for the spring semester, with 186 student-athletes achieving a GPA greater than 3.0. UWA had 105 Tigers end the semester with a 3.5 GPA or higher and 51 student-athletes with a grade point average of 4.0.
 
Softball led the department with a team GPA of 3.73 and had 11 Tigers earn a 4.0 GPA. Women's soccer followed with a 3.61, and men's tennis was third with a team GPA of 3.52. 
 
Softball led the top three female teams, followed by women's soccer, then women's basketball with a 3.47.
 
Men's tennis led the men's side, followed by men's cross country with a 3.15, then men's basketball with a grade point average of 3.12.
