Women's Tennis Enters NCAA Division II South Regional as No. 4 Seed

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – West Alabama women's tennis will look to keep the train rolling after earning the Gulf South Conference automatic bid and being selected as the No. 4 seed in the NCAA Division II South Region. 
 
The Tigers will face the No. 5 seed Lynn in the first round of the NCAA Division II South Region No. 1 bracket on Friday at 8 a.m. at No. 1 seed Barry's home courts, the Buccaneer Tennis Center in Miami Shores, Florida. The winner of the UWA and Lynn match will play Barry on Saturday at 10 a.m. 
 
The No. 14th ranked Tigers bring in a 19-4 overall record after winning the Gulf South Conference Regular Season Championship and GSC Tournament Championship. 
 
Lynn is ranked No. 5 nationally and is 14-6 overall while Barry sits on top of the national rankings at No. 1 and has a perfect 23-0 record. 
 
The winners of the 16 regional sites will advance to the Round of 16 in Altamonte Springs, Florida and begin play on May 17th.
