Women’s Tennis Defeats Southern Arkansas

MAGNOLIA, Ark. – West Alabama women's tennis team defeats Southern Arkansas 4-0 Sunday morning in a non-conference match at the Live Oak Tennis Courts.

"Our women continue to take care of business," head coach Jeff Beaman said. "We started a bit slow after our big win yesterday but picked it up and got the win."

The Tigers improve to 5-0 overall.

In singles play, the Tigers won court No. 1, No. 3, and No. 4. Franco gave the Tigers the clinching point after three long sets on No. 1 court. Heden Ly and Hardija Vidnere were the two other Tigers to add up a point in the singles.

Heden Ly and Hardija Vidnere defeated SCU's Sarah Roy and Inna Serpukhova 7-6. Emiri Takanishi and Yurie Takanishi defeated SCU's Annika Berrendorf and Lena Milosevic 7-6 to claim the doubles point.
