Tigers Host Auburn Montgomery in First GSC Home Series

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - West Alabama's softball team is set to host Auburn Montgomery in a three-game Gulf South Conference home series beginning Saturday at UWA Softball Complex.

The Tigers and the Warhawks are scheduled to open the series with a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m., followed by a single game on Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Tigers enter the series with an 8-4 overall record and are 2-1 in GSC play. The Warhawks are 9-5 overall and 3-0 in the conference.

Sophomore Taylor Clegg leads UWA hitters with a .314 batting average. She has tallied 11 hits with four doubles, four RBIs, and scored 10 runs.

Senior LP Trammell is hitting .313. The shortstop has tallied 10 hits with a double and five home runs, 14 RBIs, and scored seven runs.

Junior Madison Wright (4-3) is the Tigers' top pitcher. She has pitched 42 innings and has a 2.33 ERA. She has given up 14 earned runs while striking out 41.

Molly Cobb leads AUM with a batting average of .450. She has tallied 18 hits with two doubles and a home run. She had collected nine RBIs and scored seven runs.
