Wright Named Jack's Player of the Week

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - West Alabama softball pitcher Madison Wright earned Jack's Women's Player of the Week based on her performances last week against Auburn Montgomery.
 
Wright claimed two wins in the circle against AUM. She recorded a 0.50 ERA over 14 innings. Wright gave up only one earned run on 10 hits. She notched 11 strikeouts and walked one.
 
UWA defeated AUM 10-9 in eight innings in the first game of the doubleheader and 7-2 in the second game. The Tigers won game three 4-2 to sweep the GSC series against the Warhawks. 
 
Wright and the Tigers return to action on Saturday as they open up the three-game series against Christian Brothers with a doubleheader. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. at UWA Softball Complex.
