Tiger Softball Set to Host Columbus State on Tuesday

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - West Alabama's softball team battles Columbus State in a non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday at UWA Softball Complex. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.

The Tigers are 19-7 overall and 11-4 in GSC play. The Cougars are 18-9 overall and 7-2 in the conference.

Senior LP Trammell leads UWA hitters with a .419 batting average. She leads the GSC in slugging percentage (1.095). The shortstop has tallied 31 hits with five doubles. Trammell has hit 15 bombs this season, ranking her first in home runs. She has collected 30 RBIs and scored 29 runs.

Sophomore Taylor Clegg is hitting .318. She has tallied 27 hits with 10 doubles, two triples, and four home runs. She has collected 20 RBIs and scored 26 runs.

Ann Marie Stanbridge is hitting 3.13. She has tallied 26 hits and collected 36 RBIs. She ranks third in the conference for RBIs.

Junior Madison Wright (11-5) leads the Tigers in the circle. Wright has pitched 97 innings and has a 2.16 ERA, ranking third in the GSC. She has given up 30 earned runs. She ranks second in strikeouts in the conference with 100.

Wright is ranked in multiple categories in the conference. She ranks second in opposing batting average, innings pitched, batters struck out, batters struck out looking, and saves. She ranks third in ERA and wins.

Kelsie Gilliam leads the GSC in stolen bases with 30. Hannah Mynard ranks ninth with 11.

Hannah Corbin leads the Cougars with a batting average of .514. She has tallied 36 hits with nine doubles. She has collected 25 RBIs and scored 27 runs.
