Women’s Tennis Set to Compete in GSC Championship Tournament

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – West Alabama women's tennis team enters the Gulf South Conference Championship Tournament as the No. 1 seed and will face the No. 8 seed Christian Brothers in the first round of the tournament on Thursday at Lagoon Park. First serve is set for 10 a.m.
 
The Tigers finished the regular season with a 16-5 overall record and went undefeated in GSC play with a 10-0 record. The Bucs finished 11-8 overall and 3-7 in conference play.
 
In doubles play, Hardija Vidnere and Heden Ly are 15-2. The Takanishi sisters are 14-5. Haina Franco and Ming Deewajee are 11-9.
 
In singles play, Franco is 18-2, Ly is 14-4, and Deewajee is 10-4.
