BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference (GSC) released on Wednesday the weekly winners for women's tennis.
Khim Iglupas was chosen as the league's Player of the Week after her performance in the University of West Alabama's victories against Auburn Montgomery and Shorter.
In her two matches this past week, the graduate transfer from Arizona won both contests at the top flight in singles. Against AUM, she defeated Estefania Garcia in three sets, 4-6, 6-2, 6-0. On Friday at Shorter, she dropped Sophia Rellano in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1.

Valentina Mutilba, they knocked off Melissa Yakup Pour and Sofia Neri, 6-3. At Shorter with teammate
Heden Ly, the duo blanked Laura Martin and Ameile Fryer, 6-0.
The Tigers, ranked seventh in the nation in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings, will next participate at the ITA National Indoor Championships this weekend. West Alabama will start the event with Flagler College on Friday from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
