LOUISVILLE, Ky. -
The University of West Alabama softball team has been ranked No. 21 in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II Poll, announced by the organization on Tuesday, March 12.

The Tigers fell from No. 13 after dropping their latest home conference series to Valdosta State, despite winning the series opener, 7-5, on Saturday night.

Despite falling to its conference rival, West Alabama bounced back in a big way on Tuesday night, taking down Peach Belt Conference opponent Georgia Southwestern State in midweek doubleheader action, 5-1 and 11-1.

UWA will look to keep its win streak rolling as they travel to Delta State this weekend for a three-game Gulf South Conference series with the Lady Statesmen. The first pitch of the Saturday doubleheader is set for 1 p.m. in Cleveland, Mississippi.
