INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Celebration is in order yet again for the University of West Alabama Softball team's Marissa Mitchell as the Tiger shortstop officially clinched the NCAA Division II Statistical Championships for runs batted in and runs batted in per game for the 2024 season.
Mitchell knocked a UWA Record 82 RBIs, edging out Francis Marion's Taylor Watford for the title, who recorded 81.
The UWA superstar averaged 1.52 RBIs per game in 54 games, becoming the first player in school history to take home two Statistical Championships.
