MONTICELLO, Ark. - The University of West Alabama Men's and Women's Rodeo team finished second at the University of Arkansas at Monticello Rodeo on Saturday.
The UWA Men closed action on Saturday with 490 points, while the Women's team finished with 273.3 points.
WEST ALABAMA MEN - 490 Points
The Tigers top event of the day came in the Tie Down Roping as Clarke Gordon, Grey Wells, and Tanner Brown all made the Championship round. Gordon finished second in the event with 140 points while Wells placed third with 120. Brown's 10 points culminated UWA's 270 points in the event alone.
The duo of Brown and Gordon were electric in the Team Roping event as the two won the even with 170 points.
Canyon Trevino stood out in the Bull Riding as the sophomore registered 125 points which ranked second in the field.
In the Steer Wrestling, Evan Bourdon secured 75 points to add to the Tigers' score.
WEST ALABAMA WOMEN - 273.3 Points
Ivy Bone and Sydney Poole starred in the Breakaway Roping event as the duo combined for 248.3 points, with Bone winning the event with 145 points and Poole finishing third with 103.3.
Poole continued to flash her greatness as the senior went on to win the Barrel Racing event with 170 points.
Amongst the other Short Round Qualifiers, Meah Pinter competed in the Goat Tying event.
West Alabama will now get a month off before returning to action on November 20 for Murray State's Home Rodeo.
