Baseball Announces 2026 Season Schedule

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – With the spring semester approaching, the University of West Alabama Baseball program has officially released its 2026 schedule, featuring a challenging 50-game slate as the Tigers look to defend their 2025 GSC Championship after a strong postseason.

West Alabama opens the new campaign on the road with a three-game series at perennial regional contender Columbus State, beginning on January 30 at 5:00. The Tigers and Cougars will meet again on January 31. before wrapping up the opening weekend on February 1.

UWA will then return to Livingston for its home opener on February 3, hosting Miles College at Tartt Field. The Tigers continue their non-conference stretch with a home invitational series, beginning with Albany State on February 6–7, followed by a two-game set with Augusta on February 7–8. West Alabama closes out the nine-game homestand with a midweek matchup against Tuskegee on February 10.

Gulf South Conference play officially begins on February 13, as the Tigers welcome Mississippi College for a three-game series, concluding with a Saturday doubleheader. UWA will then hit the road for its first conference trip of the season, traveling to Montgomery to face Auburn-Montgomery on February 20–21.

The Tigers continue their road-heavy February with a non-conference matchup at Spring Hill on February 24, before finishing the month in Memphis with a GSC series against Christian Brothers on February 27–28.

March opens with a midweek road game at Miles on March 3, followed by a return home for a marquee GSC series against Valdosta State on March 6–7. The Tigers will stay in Livingston the following week as they host William Carey on March 10 and Montevallo in a conference series on March 13–14. UWA and Montevallo will meet again just three days later, this time in Montevallo in a non-conference matchup on March 17.

A tough road stretch awaits West Alabama to close out the month, beginning with a trip to Cleveland, Miss., for a three-game series against Delta State on March 20–21, followed by another conference series at Union on March 27–28. The Tigers then return home on March 31 to host Tuskegee.

The Tigers kick off April at home with a GSC series against Trevecca Nazarene on April 3–4 before traveling to Clinton, Miss., for a midweek contest at Mississippi College in another non-conference matchup on April 7. UWA then returns to Tartt Field for a high-stakes conference series against West Florida on April 10–11.

A road series at Lee University awaits on April 17–18, followed by West Alabama's final non-conference matchup of the regular season as they host Spring Hill on April 21. The Tigers will then conclude the regular season at Tartt Field with a crucial three-game series against UAH on April 24–25.

The Gulf South Conference Championships are scheduled for May 1–5 at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Alabama.

With a schedule loaded with regional powers, rivalry matchups, and key GSC showdowns, the Tigers are poised for another competitive spring on the diamond.
