LIVINGSTON, Ala. - Before the New Year rolls around, the University of West Alabama Softball program released their 2026 schedule on Monday.
The Tigers are slated to play a 53-game schedule this upcoming year after concluding the 2025 season with a 30-19 overall record.
For the fifth consecutive year, UWA will begin their campaign at the Gulf Shores Invitational in Gulf Shores, AL. West Alabama's opening contest is set for January 30 at 11:00 a.m. against Saint Leo. The following day, the Tigers will battle Spring Hill and national powerhouse, North Georgia at 10:00 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. To conclude the invitational, UWA is slated for matchups against Middle Georgia and Florida Tech on February 1.
After the Gulf Shores Invitational, the Tigers will travel to Daytona Beach for the Daytona Beach Invitational. West Alabama will play Southern Wesleyan and Tampa to kick off the weekend on February 6. The next day, UWA will compete against Georgia College and State and host school, Embry-Riddle, before concluding the weekend with a rematch against the Bobcats on Sunday, February 8.
With the first 10 games being away from home, the Tigers will officially open up their home schedule on February 14 with a double header against Emmanuel. Four days later, West Alabama will host Miles College for a midweek double header. Two days later, on February 20, the Tigers will open up GSC play with a three-game series against AUM in Montgomery before concluding the month with a road series against Christian Brothers.Â
In March, West Alabama is set for their first home GSC series' as they play host to Valdosta State on March 7-8 for a three-game series. The following weekend, Montevallo will make the trip to Livingston for a GSC series. To close out the month, UWA will travel to Cleveland and Jackson, Tennessee for matchups against Delta State and Union.
The Tigers will return home on April 2 for a series against Trevecca Nazarene on Thursday and Friday, before hitting the road on Tuesday for a double header against Miles. Later that week, West Alabama will square off against West Florida before dipping out of conference play for a home double header against Columbus State on April 15. On April 18, Lee will await West Alabama in Cleveland for a weekend series. The Tigers will then return home on April 21 for a matchup against Georgia Southwestern until they return to GSC play for a three-game series against UAH on April 24-25.
West Alabama will wrap up the regular season at home for a matchup against Mississippi College. The GSC Championships is slated for May 6-May 9 at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, AL.
