LIVINGSTON, Ala. — After leading the University of West Alabama softball team to a series win over Trevecca Nazarene, Ann Marie Stanbridge was named the GSC Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Stanbridge earns the first GSC Player of the Week honor of her career after turning in a stellar performance against the Trojans this past weekend.
In three games, the senior hit .700 at the plate, recording two home runs, five RBIs, and four runs scored. In the final two games of the series, Stanbridge went 7-for-8, putting a stamp on a dominant weekend.
While she showcased her talent at the plate, Stanbridge also dazzled in the circle. She pitched 7.1 innings across two appearances against TNU and did not allow a single earned run.
Following her performance, Stanbridge is now batting .317 with three home runs and 20 RBIs on the season. In the circle, she leads the GSC with a 1.46 ERA through 13 appearances and 48.0 innings pitched.
Stanbridge and the Tigers return to action today as they travel to Miles for a 1:00 p.m. doubleheader against the Golden Bears
