No.19 Women's Tennis Set for Top-20 Battle at No.15 Nova Southeastern

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The No. 19-ranked West Alabama women's tennis team is set for a marquee matchup against No. 15 Nova Southeastern on Thursday, March 6, at 2 p.m. in Pensacola, Florida.

This ranked showdown marks a significant test for the Tigers, who look to build momentum against one of the nation's top programs.

West Alabama (4-2) enters the match with strong performances in both singles and doubles play. Shaira Rivera has been dominant in singles, posting a 5-1 record at the No. 1 position, while Alexa Milliam (4-0) and Valentina Mutilba (5-1) have provided depth in the middle of the lineup. The Tigers have also been efficient in doubles, with the pairing of Rivera and Mutilba leading the way at 5-1.

Nova Southeastern (7-0) remains unbeaten this season and boasts a deep and experienced roster. The Sharks are 35-7 in singles play and have gone 14-4 in conference matchups. Julia Moraes (7-0) and Sofia Shing (6-1) lead an impressive singles lineup, while the doubles teams have been equally formidable.
