LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The No. 8-ranked West Alabama women's tennis team will return home with a high-stakes Gulf South Conference clash against No. 15 Auburn-Montgomery on Monday at the Vaughan Tennis Complex.

First serve is set for 2 p.m. as the Tigers (11-5, 6-0 GSC) look to continue their undefeated conference slate and celebrate three impactful seniors: Shaira Rivera, Emiri Takanishi, and Shreya Naik.

UWA enters the match on a roll, winning four of its last five and boasting a dominant 25-5 record in GSC singles play. The Tigers have thrived in doubles as well, going 13-2 in league play behind standout pairings like Alexa Milliam and Emiri Takanishi, who are a perfect 11-0 this spring.

Milliam has also led the charge in singles, going 13-0 overall and 5-0 in GSC play, splitting time between the No. 2 and No. 3 spots. Rivera, one of the seniors being honored, has put together a strong season of her own at the top of the lineup with a 10-4 record, while sophomore Greta Zawels has quietly contributed a solid 10-4 mark, including a 5-0 record in conference.

Takanishi adds to the senior day celebration with a 7-6 singles record and a near-perfect 12-1 mark in doubles, while Naik has made her presence felt both on and off the court throughout her career.

Auburn-Montgomery (10-5, 4-2 GSC) comes into the match ranked No. 15 nationally and riding a three-match win streak. The Warhawks are led by Nahia Izco, who holds a 10-5 singles record and is a combined 12-1 in doubles alongside Melissa Yakup Pour. AUM also holds an impressive 11-7 GSC doubles record, setting up a likely battle of strength vs. strength in the opening point.

West Alabama will aim to remain perfect in the GSC and lock in momentum heading into the postseason. With both senior pride and conference supremacy on the line, Monday's match promises to be one of the most meaningful of the year.
