<p><strong>LIVINGSTON, Ala</strong>. - The University of West Alabama Tennis Women's Tennis program earned three All-GSC selections on Wednesday with
Shaira Rivera and
Alexa Milliam being named First Team while
Valentina Mutilba picked up a Second Team honors.</p>
<p>After being named First Team All-GSC in 2024, Rivera secures her second consecutive All-GSC selection in 2025 after a standout campaign. The senior was an instrumental piece to the Tigers' puzzle, recording a 11-5 overall record in Line One singles. Rivera went 5-3 in GSC Play, including a ranked win over West Florida on March 11. While Rivera carries 11 singles win in Line One, the Philippines native holds 14 wins in Line Two doubles with Mutilba. The duo of Rivera and Mutilba remain the number one ranked doubles team in the country and add another All-GSC selection to their resumes.</p>
<p>As for Milliam, she's put together one of the greatest freshman seasons in UWA history. The freshman began the season in Line Three for the Tigers before moving to Line Two where she dominated. Milliam recorded a perfect 16-0 singles record, dropping just three sets the entire season. Hailing from the Philippines, Milliam stands as the only player in the Gulf South Conference to finish the regular season with an undefeated singles record and finished fourth in the Player of the Year voting. In doubles play, the freshman carries a 13-1 record into the postseason with her partner
Emiri Takanishi. </p>
<p>Mutilba registers her first All-GSC selection of her young career after finishing the regular season 10-6 in singles and 14-3 in doubles with Rivera. The Necochea, Argentina native went 5-1 in Line Two singles before making the move to Line Three where she finished out the season. Similar to Rivera and Milliam, Mutilba picked up a Division I win over Alabama State to begin the year, before going 5-2 in conference play. In just her second season as a collegiate player, Mutilba now adds an All-GSC selection to her resume that includes a ITA Doubles National Championship.</p>
<p>Rivera, Milliam, and Mutilba will all be in action on Thursday against Delta State when the Tigers begin their quest for a GSC Tournament Championship </p>
