Football Continues to Climb Top-25 Polls

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - Standing at 3-0 to begin the year, the University of West Alabama Football team moved up in the AFCA Coaches, D2Football.com, and FloCollege Top-25 Poll on Tuesday.

After defeating Charleston 28-24 on Saturday, UWA is now No. 13 in the AFCA Coaches Poll, No. 18 in the D2Football.com Top-25, and No. 9 in FloCollege's rankings.

The Tigers are off to a fast start in 2025. Quarterback Spencer Arceneaux has collected back-to-back GSC Player of the Week recognitions and currently leads the country in total touchdowns with eight. Before an injury forced him to miss Saturday's game, Brayden Jenkins was the rushing leader in the GSC as he's accumulated 184 yards on the ground through his first two games of the season.

Defensively, JT Hooten picked up his first GSC Defensive Player of the Week award after a 17 tackles performance against the Golden Eagles. As a unit, West Alabama is holding teams to 21.0 points and 353.7 yards per game.

UWA will remain at home this weekend as they play host to the Barton College Bulldogs on Saturday with kickoff set for 6:00 p.m.
