Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of West Alabama women's and men's tennis teams turned in dominant performances on Saturday afternoon, as both Tiger squads swept Tuskegee University in straight sets at the Vaughan Tennis Complex. First serve was at 1 p.m., and UWA controlled the match from start to finish on every court.

Women's Tennis

West Alabama opened the day by securing the doubles point with convincing wins across all three flights. Nanoka Kazama and Shaira Rivera set the tone with a 6–0 shutout at No. 1, while Valentina Mutilba and Jenaila Prulla followed with a 6–4 victory at No. 2. The duo of Theodora Stancescu and Alexa Milliam capped doubles play with a 6–1 win at No. 3.

The Tigers carried that momentum into singles, winning all six matches in straight sets. Rivera battled through a competitive No. 1 singles match, earning a 7–5, 6–4 victory. Mutilba cruised at No. 2 with a 6–0, 6–0 win, while Jian Ibrahim added a 6–2, 6–1 decision at No. 3. Prulla, Kazama, and Greta Zawels rounded out singles play with decisive wins to complete the sweep.

Men's Tennis

The men's team followed with an equally impressive showing, beginning with a clean sweep in doubles. Jacob Tapia and Federico Iturbe earned a 6–2 win at No. 1, Afonso Portugal and Maksim Goncharov claimed a 6–1 victory at No. 2, and Sebastiao Villas and Gabriel Garay closed doubles with a 6–1 result at No. 3.

In singles, the Tigers dropped just one set across six matches. Tapia bounced back after a first-set loss at No. 1 to secure a 2–6, 6–1, 6–2 win. Garay, Portugal, and Iturbe all delivered straight-set victories in the middle of the lineup, while Villas and Itaru Kikuchi sealed the team sweep with dominant performances at Nos. 5 and 6.

Both West Alabama squads will look to build on Saturday's momentum as they continue nonconference play in the early portion of the spring season.
