LIVINGSTON, Ala. - After another tremendous week in the circle for the University of West Alabama Softball team, Eleanor De Block has been named the GSC Pitcher of the Week for the second consecutive week and third time this season.
De Block earns her third GSC Pitcher of the Week honor of the year after putting together elite performances in West Alabama's wins over Georgia Southwestern and UAH this past week. In three starts, the senior recorded a 3-0 record along with a 0.33 ERA and 12 strikeouts in 21.0 innings of work.
The righty recorded complete games in all three contests, with two complete game shutouts coming against UAH over the weekend. De Block now has 10 complete game shutouts on the year which broke UWA's single season school record and also leads the country.
De Block continues to strengthen her case for the GSC Pitcher of the Year award. After this past week's results, the senior is now 21-8 on the year along with a 1.57 ERA.
De Block and the Tigers will wrap up the regular season this weekend with a three-game series against Mississippi College at home.
