LIVINGSTON, Ala. — The University of West Alabama track and field program took home two GSC Weekly Awards on Wednesday, as J'Da Williams and Jalen Green were named the conference's Freshmen of the Week.
Williams continues to build an impressive résumé in her freshman campaign. She has now won five GSC Weekly Awards during the 2025–26 track season, solidifying her status as one of the top sprinters in the country.
Green, meanwhile, earns the second Freshman of the Week honor of his young career following another standout performance at UWG's Meet of Legends.
Williams claimed first place in the 100m sprint with a time of 11.76 and followed with a second-place finish in the 200m at 24.71. She also helped lead UWA's 4x100 relay team to a first-place finish, as the Tigers posted a time of 46.65 to cap off a successful day.
Green competed in the 110m hurdles and made his debut in the 400m hurdles. He placed second in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.99 and recorded a 59.12 finish in the 400m hurdles.
Williams and Green will be featured at UWA's home meet, the UWA Invitational, which is scheduled for Saturday at the Jerry F. Smith Track & Field Complex.
