Williams Advances to 100m Finals at NCAA Outdoor Championships

EMPORIA, Kan. - The University of West Alabama Women's Track and Field's J'Da Williams officially qualified for the 100m finals in the NCAA Outdoor Championships on Thursday.

Williams competed in heat two and placed second in her heat and seventh overall with a time of 11.62. Eight competitors, including Williams, advanced to the finals on Thursday.

While UWA's star freshman is in the finals, she will compete against Converse's Grace Davis, Tusculum's Qitarah Castlin and Jahzara Hart, Central Missouri's Grizell Scarlett, New Mexico Highland's Ashley Barrett, U-Mary's Laila Cleare, and Sioux Falls' Tamia Horton. 

Williams will compete for an NCAA Championship in the 100m on Saturday at 5:05 p.m.
