LIVINGSTON, Ala. — The University of West Alabama softball team's Trinity Hatcher and Megan Roe were named to the inaugural GSC Gold Glove Team on Wednesday.
Both Hatcher and Roe earned Gold Glove honors after putting together flawless defensive seasons for West Alabama.
Hatcher excelled in left field for the Tigers. In 2026, the sophomore posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage, committing zero errors. In 123 total chances, she recorded 118 putouts and five assists while throwing out two runners to register double plays. The outfielder showcased her complete skill set in the field, highlighted by a strong and accurate arm, elite speed, and fundamentally sound defense.
Roe also impressed with her defensive abilities, earning a GSC Gold Glove selection. The senior was a steady presence in the circle and also saw time at first base for the Tigers. In 53 total chances, Roe tallied 24 putouts and 29 assists while turning three double plays. As a pitcher, the right-hander posted a 14-2 record with a 2.69 ERA, capping off a tremendous regular season, the best of her collegiate career.
Hatcher and Roe have been key leaders for West Alabama as the Tigers prepare for their GSC Tournament opener against Valdosta State on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.
