West Alabama Hosts No. 22 Arkansas Tech

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of West Alabama men's basketball team returns to action after nine days away from the hardwood as UWA (3-1) hosts No. 22 Arkansas Tech on Saturday, Nov. 27. Tip-off is scheduled for approximately 4 p.m. Live stats and video will be available at www.uwaathletics.com.

In the Tigers' last outing, UWA claimed a 104-65 win over Concordia College of Selma behind the hot shooting of Alquan Mendenhall. In the 39-point victory - the 10th largest in UWA history - the Pine Hill, Ala. native tied a school-record for three pointers with 11. Mendenhall finished the night with 36 points and led a quartet Tigers in double figures scoring.

On the year, a trio is Tigers are averaging double figures scoring lead by Mendenhall with 20.5 points per game. Jonathan Griffin and Ryan Fitch are just behind their junior teammate as Griffin is averaging 14 points while Fitch is chiming in 10.8 per outing. Griffin is also the teams' leading rebounder as the Marrero, La. native is averaging 9.8 boards.

Tech – which boasts an identical record to the Red and White – enters the Saturday affair on a two-game win streak after defeating Lambuth and Ecclesia College last week. Tech's lone loss was an 87-72 setback to Drury University. The Wonder Boys are led by a quartet averaging double figures. Jared Williamson leads the team with 15.5 points followed by Johnie Davis with 13.8 and James Causet with 12.3 points per game. Jeremy Dunbar rounds out the foursome with 10.3 points.

Following Saturday's tilt, West Alabama returns to action on Monday, Nov. 29 as UWA hosts Harding. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 p.m.
