LAKELAND, Fla. – After falling behind 4-1, the 25th-ranked West Alabama men's tennis team came roaring back to defeat No. 32 Florida Southern, 5-4, Thursday at the Wynee Warden Tennis Center.

The win extends West Alabama's winning streak to 15 matches and improves the Tigers to 19-1. Florida Southern saw its win streak snapped at five matches and dropped to 8-7.

Florida Southern won all three doubles matches before Anton Ivanov got the Tigers in the win column by defeating Benoit Paradis 6-1, 6-2 in No. 2 singles. Carl Lundberg defeated Caspar Schuetze in No. 4 singles 6-0, 6-1 to give the Mocs what seemed like an insurmountable advantage.
