Men’s Hoops Return to Action against Reinhardt University Sunday

LIVINGSTON, Ala.– Break time is over, and the West Alabama Men's Basketball team is set to host the Reinhardt University Eagles tomorrow at 4 p.m. in Pruitt Hall in a non-conference return to hardwood.

UWA is 7-3 on the season after dropping a Gulf South Conference contest to West Georgia on Dec. 17 by the score of 60-49.

Reinhardt is an NAIA school out of the Appalachian Athletic Conference and sits 6-7 overall with its last game being a 100-88 loss to Point University on Dec. 8.

The Eagles are led by a trio of double-digit scorers. Samuel Bunkley is the head of the group scoring 16.3 points, grabbing 4.3 rebounds and dishing 3.8 assists per game. Dorea Wilson averages 16.1 points and 4.9 rebounds a game. Latroy Strong scores 13.2 points a game and is the team's leading rebounder at 6.2 boards a game.

Josh Fleming serves as the Tigers' leading scorer for the Tigers with an average of 12.3 per game. Ricky Dunnaway is right behind him at 11.3 and is the team's leading rebounder at 6.8 boards per contest. LaJuan Hardy holds steady as the leading assist maker at 5.2 assists a game which is good for third in the GSC.
