Weather Forces Changes in Upcoming UWA-AUM Baseball Series

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – Due to expected inclement weather later in the weekend in Sumter County, dates and times for the Gulf South Conference opening series for West Alabama and Auburn-Montgomery have been shifted.

The adjusted schedule has the Tigers and Warhawks playing a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. Friday at Tartt Field on the UWA campus. A single game is set for Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Tigers are 4-2 heading into their first games at home this season. AUM is 5-3.

All three games of the series will be carried on ESPN 104.9 in the Twin States coverage area. Tiger fans outside of the area can go to www.grantellbroadcasting.com and click on the "Listen Live" button to hear the action. Links to live stats and the live video feed are available at www.uwaathletics.com.

Tiger fans should also get ready for the opportunity for free drinks as they play along in the Hardee's Home Run Inning and the Dandy Don's DP Sweet Tea inning. If a Tiger hits a home run in the bottom of the sixth inning of any home game, fans in attendance will receive a card for a free soft drink from Hardee's in Livingston. If the Tigers turn a double play in the top half of the seventh inning, fans will receive a coupon for a free large sweet tea with the purchase of a sandwich and side at Dandy Don's in Livingston.
