Lewis Will Represent UWA at NCAA Track and Field Championships

KINGSVILLE, Texas – Jumper Adrienne Lewis will represent the University of West Alabama at the 2019 NCAA Division II Track and Field Championships May 23-25 at Javelina Stadium on the campus of Texas A&M-Kingsville .

A sophomore from Birmingham, Alabama, Lewis will participate in both the long jump and triple jump in her second consecutive year of being the solo Tiger competitor at the NCAA meet. She finished 17^th in the triple jump as one of just four true freshmen in that event at nationals last year.

Lewis comes into this year's national championships as a top five qualifier in the long jump with a leap of 6.04 meters. Her triple jump qualifying effort of 12.27 meters is tied for 20^th coming into the event.

She has been an All-Gulf South Conference performer in each of her first two years at West Alabama.
