Tiger Track Inks Niya Oden

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – All-state track and field athlete Niya Oden has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete collegiately at the University of West Alabama.

Oden finished second in the AHSAA State Track and Field meet in the triple jump with a hop, skip and jump of 38',2.25 inches, establishing a new Thompson (Ala.) High School record in the process.

Oden was also a member of a Warriors state championship 4x100 meter relay team.

Personal records for Oden include 8.02 in the indoor 60-meter dash, a 12.65 in the 100m outdoor and a 28.71 in the outdoor 200.

Her jump PRs include a 16'4" leap in the long jump and her school record triple jump of 28' 2.25".
