Lefty Chamblin Transferring to UWA

LIVINGSTON, Ala.– Left-handed pitcher Colin Chamblin is transferring to West Alabama for his senior baseball season, according an announcement today by Tigers head coach Gary Rundles.
 
Chamblin played the 2018 season at the University of North Alabama after playing two seasons at Calhoun (Ala.) Community College. A Florence, Alabama native, Chamblin played his prep baseball at Rogers High School.
 
Chamblin pithed 35.1 innings last season for the Lions, posting a 1-5 record with a 7.90 earned run average. In 15 appearances, nine starts, he struck out 28 and walked 24.
 
He was 3-3 with a 4.55 ERA in 59.1 innings pitched as a sophomore at Calhoun Community College, striking out 63 and walking 29. As a freshman Chamblin was 1-1 with a  3.79 ERA over 35.2 innings pitched. He struck out 26 and walked 17.
 
While playing at CCC he helped lead the Warhawks to the state tournament. He played first base and pitched at Rogers and was named second-team all-state in 2015-16, participated in Boys State and graduated with a 4.0 GPA
