UWA, UAH Softball Series Shifted

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – For the second week in a row, the University of West Alabama softball team will have a schedule adjustment due to weather this time affecting the Gulf South Conference series with the Alabama Huntsville Chargers at Charger Park.

Now the Tigers (5-10, 2-4) and UAH (9-6, 4-2) will start the series with a doubleheader on Feb. 29 starting at 1 p.m. The weekend will conclude with a single game Sunday at noon.

Rain was not the reason for the change, however the threat of freezing temperatures at the originally scheduled Friday nighttime matchup is the reason for the change. Predictions currently call for the temperature to be 33 degrees at sunset and the game was scheduled for a 6 p.m. start.
