Baseball at Spring Hill Moved to Sunday at Stan Galle Field

MOBILE, Ala. – The four-game baseball series scheduled for this Friday and Saturday between West Alabama and Spring Hill at Hank Aaron Stadium has been changed to a doubleheader Sunday at Historic Stan Galle Field on the campus of Spring Hill College. First pitch for the twinbill is set for 1 p.m.

The imminent threat of rain and thunderstorms on Friday and Saturday caused the schedule change. Sunday's doubleheader will be a pair of nine-inning games.

Since the game is now being played on Spring Hill's campus and not at Hank Aaron Stadium, no fans will be allowed at the game due to COVID restrictions set by Spring Hill College. Not even family members of players will be allowed entrance to Stan Galle Field.

This will be the 16th game in the series between the Tigers and Badgers, with West Alabama leading 10-5. UWA has won seven of eight games played at Stan Galle Field.

West Alabama comes into the game with an 11-17 record. Spring Hill is 15-12.

The games will not be carried on SLY 104.9, but live stats will be available. Just go to the baseball schedule page at www.uwaathletics.comand click on Live Stats.
