Tiger Rodeo Returns to Meridian Thursday Through Saturday

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – West Alabama rodeo returns to action at the Lauderdale County Agri-Center in Meridian, Miss. The rodeo will begin on Thursday and go through Saturday with performances at 7 p.m. each night.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students, and all children five years or younger get in free.

East Mississippi Community College is hosting the rodeo and will put on a calf scramble for ages six to 10 and a pig scramble for children five years and younger.

"We are ready and have been practicing hard all semester. Now it's time to go reap the rewards," head rodeo coach Daniel Poole said.

The women currently sit in second place in the Ozark Region standings with 1,465 points. EMCC is in first place with 1,610 points.

Going into the event, Heather McLaughlin is in first place in Goat Tying with 745 points and Rebecca St. Martin sits in second place in Barrel Racing.

On the men's side, the Tigers are in fifth place with 1,610 points.

Heading into the Ozark Region event, Ryder Ladner is in first place in Tie Down Roping with 525 points and Blayne Saine is in third place.

Chase Graves is in second place in as the heeler in Team Roping.
