SENATOBIA, Miss. - The University of West Alabama Rodeo program wrapped up the regular season at Northwest Mississippi's rodeo on Saturday night, taking home multiple Ozark Region Championships.
West Alabama's Women's Team took home first place for the third time this season, accumulating 340 points. UWA's Men's team clinched the Ozark Region Reserve Championship after finishing second with 400 points on Saturday.
After the event concluded, the Tigers were awarded a handful of Ozark Region Outright and Reserve Championships. West Alabama's Men's team is officially the Ozark Region Reserve Champions after recording 4,595 points on the year.

With being Reserve or Outright Region Champions, Brown, Gordon, Poole, Wilhite, Murphy, and Bone have all punched their tickets to the CNFR in Casper, Wyoming which is slated to begin on June 14.
WOMEN'S RODEO: First Place | 340 Points
The Tigers were led by Madison Murphy and Ivy Bone. Murphy shined in the Barrel racing event, recording 175 points to win the event and clinch a Reserve Championship. For Bone, she accumulated 165 points in the Breakaway Roping to secure the win and garner a Reserve Champion in the event, punching her ticket to the CNFR.
Millie Joe Rosenberg, Katelyn Carney, Ashley Teems, and Erin McLaughlin all advanced to Championship Saturday, helping the Tigers to their third Rodeo win.
MEN'S RODEO: Second Place | 400 Points
Tanner Brown led the way for the Men's Squad, advancing to the Championship Round in the Team Roping and Tie Down Roping. The Cowboy registered 215 points in the events to lock up the Reserve All-Around Championship. Brown's partner in the Team Roping, Clarke Gordon, also performed in the Tie Down Roping to help West Alabama to their 400 point score. Kota Wilhite and Grey Wells also competed in the event, combining for 75 points.
Austin Brooks competed in the Team Roping, alongside Brown and Gordon and recorded 120 points.
With the regular season now in the rear view mirror, UWA gears up for the College National Finals Rodeo which will begin on June 14 in Casper, Wyoming.
