UWA Rodeo to Compete at NWCC Rodeo

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – West Alabama rodeo is set to compete in the final rodeo of the regular season at the Northwest Mississippi Community College Rodeo in Senatobia, Miss. at the Northwest Farm Multipurpose Arena on Thursday through Saturday.

Entering the final rodeo of the Ozark Region, the Tiger women are in first place in the women's standings with 2,977 total points which is good for ninth nationally. East Mississippi Community College is in second place with 2,170 points.

The men enter the weekend with 2,510 total points. Missouri Valley College leads the men's side in the Ozark Region.

Heather McLaughlin is in first place in women's all-around and leads goat tying. Nationally, McLaughlin is in first place in goat tying and fourth in the women's all-around.

Bethany Stallons is in second place in breakaway roping while McLaughlin is in fourth. Rebecca st. Martin is in second place in barrel racing.

On the men's side, Chase Graves is second place in team roping as the heeler. JT Ellison is in fifth place in steer wrestling.

The top two teams in each region qualify for the 2022 College National Finals Rodeo along with the top three individuals in each event. The 2022 CNFR will take place June 12^th-18^th in Casper, Wyoming.
