Jace Dunsford Signs With UWA Baseball

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – West Alabama head baseball coach Gary Rundles has officially announced the signing of right-handed pitcher Jace Dunsford who has spent the last three seasons playing at the junior college level. 
 
"Jace (Dunsford) is a junior college transfer that will be able to pitch late in the game as a set-up man or closer. He is a solid minded person with very strong character and work ethic," Rundles said. 
 
Dunsford spent the 2020 season playing at Tallahassee Community College before transferring to Coastal Alabama North Community College where he has played the last two seasons. 
 
The Pensacola, Florida native appeared in 21 games during the 2022 campaign and earned three saves. Dunsford pitched 25.1 innings and gave up 20 earned runs on 18 hits. Dunsford struck 31 batters out and earned three wins during the season. 
 
Dunsford graduated from Tate High School in Cantonment, Florida in 2019. 
 
"We expect great things from him during his career at UWA," Rundles said.
