UWA Baseball Signs Jared Kelly

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – Jared Kelly has officially signed his National Letter of Intent to join the 2023 UWA baseball Roster, according to an announcement made by head baseball coach Gary Rundles.
 
"Jared will help our bullpen with his ¾ arm and his ability to pound the strike zone. His character and work ethic is a textbook fit with our players in the locker room," Rundles said. "We are excited to have Jared and believe he will be a great addition to our pitching staff,"
 
Kelly is a right handed pitcher who has spent the last three seasons at Lawson State Community College.
 
During the 2022 season, he made 18 appearances on the mound and recorded five wins in relief with four saves. Kelly pitched 30.1 innings and struck 18 batters out, while finishing the season with a 3.56 earned run average.
 
The Hope Hull, Alabama native had 12 appearances during the 2021 season and pitched 18.1 innings. Kelly struck eight batters out and picked up one save.
 
Kelly is a 2019 graduate of Hooper Academy.
